Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Advisory Curriculum
Primary Schools
Below you will find details of the RSE Advisory Curriculum which is taught in some of the island's primary schools. RSE lesson content has been divided into multiple 'blocks' of learning for each year group, which are outlined in the attached documents. Please note that while the advisory curriculum provides this framework, each primary school has the flexibility to tailor the delivery of these blocks in a way that best meets the needs of their learning community. As a result, the timing and sequence of the lessons may vary slightly between schools. Additionally, some primary schools may only use part of the advisory curriculum, while others use resources provided by other learning programmes such as Kapow or Jigsaw.
We encourage parents to reach out to their child’s school for specific information on which RSE curriculum is taught in their school.
